Compagnons de la Libération

Compagnons de la Libération is a series of original podcasts, made up of the stories of men and women, who, caught up in the chaos of defeat, made the choice to refuse capitulation and the Occupation by continuing the battle, in the open or clandestinely.

The Request

As part of its commitment to preserving the nation’s collective memory, the Order of the Liberation sought to pay tribute, through letters, personal accounts, and archival materials, to the exceptional members of the Resistance known as the Companions of the Liberation. The goal was to bring to life the stories of these 1,038 men and women who, amid the chaos of defeat, chose defiance, commitment, and resistance.

Our Solution

We created and produced a five-part podcast series, "Compagnons de la Libération", blending immersive audio to bring these extraordinary stories to life. Through vivid, actor-narrated accounts enriched with archival documents and historical analysis, this collection makes these exemplary—yet often overlooked or forgotten—yet deeply inspiring journeys accessible to a wide audience.

Each episode highlights a turning point, that moment when these women and men became, through their commitment, figures of the Resistance. Even today, their stories serve as guiding lights, compasses for reflecting on our world and our future.
