Compagnons de la Libération is a series of original podcasts, made up of the stories of men and women, who, caught up in the chaos of defeat, made the choice to refuse capitulation and the Occupation by continuing the battle, in the open or clandestinely.
The request
As part of its commitment to the transmission of national memory, the Ordre de la Libération wished to pay tribute, through letters, stories and archives, to those exceptional Resistance fighters who were the Compagnons de la Libération. The aim was to bring to life the story of these 1038 men and women who, in the chaos of defeat, made the choice to refuse, to commit, to fight.
Our response
We directed and produced a series of five podcasts blending immersive sound, Compagnons de la Libération, giving voice to these extraordinary destinies. Using embodied narratives, brought to life by actors and enriched by archive documents and historical analyses, this collection makes accessible to as many people as possible these exemplary - often overlooked or forgotten - but profoundly inspiring journeys.
Each episode highlights a pivotal moment, that moment when these women and men became, through their commitment, figures of the Resistance. Even today, their stories serve as landmarks, compasses for thinking about our world and our future.
