An exceptional artistic setting
The venue is adorned with a huge tapestry by Alfred Manessier baptized "Chant grégorien" and whose aesthetic is close to the design of a stained glass window.
When I drew up my carton, I was of course thinking of classical music, I was thinking particularly of Gregorian music; I immediately, in keeping with my subject and in keeping with the architecture, went for lines that climbed slightly outwards, and I made a fairly strong gradation from the dark, interior side outwards, towards the light side of the street, of the square. I started with an extremely sober, extremely full and low range and, on top of that, I put big colored notes that go towards the light.
