With its 367m2 and magnificent high ceilings, the Foyer Soulages is a space bathed in light. With a capacity of300 people, you can organize all types of events here.
A unique work of art
The venue is adorned with amonumental tapestry by the great Pierre Soulages. The tracery of "broad brush drawings" forms the black framework, the thread that punctuates and gives rhythm to the tapestry, which the artist himself describes as "in relation to the place, the light, the illumination, the volume. It is one with the architecture, and its composition plays with the lines and space of the room".
This wool tapestry was woven in a single piece by the Pinton workshops in Felletin near Aubusson. Pierre Soulages did not want in this work to illustrate anything, hence the absence of a title; it is a poetic relationship of color, surface and rhythm.
