Arena architecture for unique proximity

With its arena architecture and monumental organ, the Radio France Auditorium offers an immersive experience. The 1,400 seats, arranged in balconies all around the stage, provide a 360° view and guarantee unrivalled proximity to the musicians: no seat is more than 17 meters from the stage. This design fosters an intimate connection between audience and artists, enhancing the emotion of musical performances.

Acoustics designed for excellence

The Auditorium's exceptional acoustics are the fruit of the expertise of Minoru Nagata, a world-renowned acoustical engineer, and the Jean-Paul Lamoureux Acoustique practice. Every architectural detail has been thought out to offer optimum sound quality:

  • Wood cladding on the balconies to promote the circulation and reflection of sound
  • Polycylindersbehind the tiers to evenly diffuse sound waves
  • A ceiling equipped with areflective lens (called a canopy) to optimize acoustic propagation and reflection, both for the musicians on stage and for the audience.

An unforgettable musical experience

The Auditorium de Radio France is much more than a concert hall: it's a sound stage where every spectator can experience atotal immersion in the music. Whether it's a classical symphony or a contemporary performance, the demanding acoustics and close proximity to the musicians make it an iconic venue for all music lovers.
