Composer Alexandre Desplat has recorded at Radio France's Studio 104, with the Orchestre National de France and the Chœur de Radio France, the soundtrack to Luc Besson's film, Valérian.
The Orchestre national de France performs the orchestral suite from the film ‘Valérian and the City of a Thousand Planets’, directed by Luc Besson, conducted by the composer Alexandre Desplat. An excerpt from the concert given on 6 December 2018, broadcast live from the auditorium of the Maison de la Radio.
Some 95 musicians from the Orchestre National de France and 40 singers from the Chœur de Radio France took part in the recording at Radio France’s Studio 104, renowned for its exceptional acoustics.
Solrey, Alexandre Desplat’s artistic director and “first ear,” along with the teams led by sound engineer Peter Cobbin, were in the control room to ensure the sessions were recorded properly and to offer an outside, critical perspective on the composition being performed.
