After 2 triumphant seasons from 2021 to 2023, 300,000 spectators and 2 Molières, Mel Brooks' delirious musical The Producers, directed by Alexis Michalik, returns to the Théâtre de Paris in October 2025.
With twelve Tony Awards under its belt, The Producers is Broadway's most awarded musical. Created in 2001 and running for six years, this show is the stage adaptation of the film, directed by Mel Brooks in 1967, which has become a monument of comic and satirical cinema.
Orious, irreverent, funny and particularly wacky, the show, adapted for the first time in France in 2021, is directed by French theater prodigy Alexis Michalik (Le Porteur d'histoire, 2012; Le Cercle des illusionnistes, 2014; Edmond, 2016, Passeport, 2024).
The question wasn't why mount The Producers. The question was: why had The Producers never been staged in Paris? The show has been such a success around the world, it's culturally close to French audiences, the comedy is hilarious!
