For over 30 years, Patrick Timsit has matured the project of performing this work - a tribute to mothers the world over - for which he has nurtured a real passion.
Patrick Timsit brought this text to life in a one-man show at the Théâtre de l'Atelier in 2017 and 2018. France Culture, with his complicity, proposed a new version of Livre de ma mère, this time musical, which was performed for the first time at the Festival d'Avignon 2023.

As part of its inaugural program, the Cité internationale de la langue française has contracted Radio France Studios to present the show at the Château de Villers-Cotterêts.
