The concept behind Repassez-moi l'standard, the show I host on France Musique, is based on listening to several versions of the same standard, making the choice of versions crucial to avoid tiring the listener. Through this Esprit Jazz box set, my selection of songs and, above all, their performers stems from the same concern: the excellence of the performance above all else. It is also an opportunity to revisit certain familiar songs in a new light and to introduce you to artists who are less well-known to the general public but who are included here for a reason.
