A musical at La Seine Musicale then on tour throughout France.
Almost 30 years ago, Mathieu Kassovitz's La Haine marked an entire generation, becoming a classic of French cinema. Revealed and awarded at the 1995 Cannes Film Festival, crowned with three Césars, including Best Film, it won over critics, including internationally.
In 2024, Mathieu Kassovitz returns with an immersive and lively creation. He revisits his cult film by adapting it for the stage, underlining its ever-present resonance with current events. This innovative project invites spectators to take a real "ride" through Paris and its suburbs, thanks to a unique device combining stage and screen. Fourteen tableaux inspired by the film, redesigned by Kassovitz, come to life through an interplay of projections, immersive sets and the performance of actors on stage.
This hybrid show fuses dance, cinema, rap, theater and live performance in a bold, resolutely modern staging. It's all supported by a brand-new soundtrack, creating a musical bridge between the 90s and today.
